Michigan Winter Wonderland

Today finds us snowed in and enjoying a picturesque view from the kitchen.  The snowflakes are so pretty and abnormally big today!!! Some look to be 2" in diameter... I tried to capture how large they are, but you really can't catch the full beauty on camera. This was the best I could do...

The weatherman (brother Dallas:)) says we are in for several beautiful inches!!! No, I don't care for slushy, snowy weather, but the Bible does remind us in Job to look for the treasures in the snow...

Maybe like a great opportunity to enjoy indoor skills and catch up on those kinds of projects, right?! :)

One thing about snow is that it's always pure white... It's hard to believe that we can so easily despise something so beautiful, when we look at it from our small sighted perspective sometimes.
It reminds me of God's plans for us... Remember they are always beautiful!

The Gospels According to You

The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
Are read by more than a few,
But the one that is most read and commented on
Is the gospel according to you.

You are writing a gospel, a chapter each day
By things that you do and words that you say,
Men read what you write, whether faithless or true.
Say, what is the gospel according to you?

Do men read His truth and His love in your life,
Or has yours been too full of malice and strife?
Does your life speak of evil, or does it ring true?
Say, what is the gospel according to you?

Celebrating the Love of God and Family

We are so blessed to be a part of God's family, and the love He offers to all mankind!  Without the blood of our precious Saviour Jesus Christ shed on the cross in our place, we would all be lost.
John 3:16 says it best: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."  What a sacrifice,...what a promise,... What Love!!!!

And what better time to celebrate that Love than
Valentine's Day!!

We are all so grateful for the love God has given us to share and develop in our lives as a family, and those we come in contact with outside our home too.
Our prayer is that you too, would come to know Him as your personal Lord and Saviour, and be blessed in Him today and throughout the year!

Amazing Raw Chocolate Avocado Pudding

I'm serious, this pudding tastes really close to the traditional instant chocolate pudding, only this recipe has 4 great benefits!
1. It is totally raw- full of health benefits
2. You don't feel guilty after eating it
3. It's fun and easy to make
4. It is full of Omega 3

I should add, the only downfall is, if you are a weight watcher, you don't want to eat a whole lot because it could add some substantial calories... On the other hand, if your metabolism is anything like mine, if your looking for something to slow it down, avocado's are great!!!

Recipe:
 6 Avocados pitted
1 cup maple syrup
1 cup cocoa powder
1cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

Begin by mashing all the Avocados with a potato masher. Then mix all ingredients together, blending until smooth with a hand held electric mixer for several minutes. You want to get it as smooth and creamy and get out as many avocado lumps as possible.
Enjoy chilled, garnished with chopped walnuts, raspberries, homemade whipped cream, etc...

Special note: original recipe called for using a blender, but I found that a hand held mixer does a much more thorough job getting the lumps out.

Another healthy variation you can do is half cocoa powder/ half carob powder, and half maple syrup/ half sucanut. :)

Enjoy!!!

Health Products

     Priscilla's all-natural Peppermint Tooth Powder
$5.00

Being an ND and avid health enthusiast, and disliking the conventional toothpastes available I was thrilled to add this tooth powder to my grooming cabinet.
There is no flouride or sugar added. The all natural sweetener I use is xylitol, which is healthy for your teeth, and actually helps build tooth enamel.
When we started getting regular cleanings done, the hygenist was amazed that we didn't use flouride, and didn't have cavities either... Finally the astonished head hygenist lady in charge asked "What is in your tooth powder?!!"
They are few ingredients, and coupled with regular brushing, flossing, and a healthy diet, will help keep your teeth and gums healthy and prolong your beautiful smile:)
The flavor is very refreshing, but not overpowering... I highly recommend it!!!
Ingredients: green clay powder, baking soda, goldenseal root powder, xylitol, cinnamon, and peppermint oil.
If you are interested in any of my health products, just leave your number in the comments section, and let me know what you are interested in.  Wishing you the best of Health,

Seeking to be the Proverbs 31 Woman of Virtue

There are many ways we ladies can practice being a woman of virtue described in Proverbs 31...

One of the ways we ladies enjoy developing is our sewing skills :)

Mom is busy at the sewing machine making a nice summer blouse.

Pretty pink is Momma's favorite color too!
Good job, Mom (Lisa)!!!
