Homemade Elderberry Flu Defence Syrup

During the vicious flu season, there is nothing like using Elderberry as part of your "flu repellent". :):):) Elderberry is very good as an immune support herb and specifically targets the flu virus.  You can usually buy an Elderberry supplement called Sambucol at your local grocery store, but I heard that the supplies are low right now. I also carry a great product called Elderberry D3fence through Natures Sunshine Products. (If you are interested in getting it at wholesale under me, just let me know;)) I always love making my own remedies from scratch when I can though.

Today i am making  a Homemade Elderberry Syrup.
Wishing you good health this season,
                     Priscilla Sparks, ND.

Elderberry Syrup

3/4 c dried elderberries
1 cinnamon stick
3 c. of water
3/4 c. Honey

Using a double boiler, heat to boiling water, cinnamon, and elderberries. Reduce heat and simmer till liquid is reduced to about half (about 45 minutes). Drain berries (and save for making elderberry jam or pie), and add honey to elderberry liquid. Pour in glass storage bottle and use as needed. Recommended Dosages are 1/2-1 tsp. Per day for children, and 3/4-1 T. Per day For adults.

Let's remember that God is the author of good health, and pray for His protection, trusting in His care. Though the news may sound scary let's not be driven by fear, as those who have no hope. :) Take a few minutes to memorize and lay to heart this week's memory verse. God Bless!!!

The finished product!!!
Yummy too!
