Golden Healing Salve to Farm Accident Rescue

A week ago today Dallas got his finger caught in the pulley of a belt run machine. After cleaning it thoroughly with peroxide I used my all natural Golden Healing Salve and carefully wrapped it in a nice bandage to keep it clean.

This pic was taken on Thursday, when we changed the dressing.

After i doctored him up.:) I think he really likes the Salve!!!
Saturday he was glad to go without a bandage and the skin is sealed over the cut very nicely!

Here's a pic taken exactly a week later.

I also used it, last week, for my niece, as a diaper rash ointment with overnight remarkable results!
You can see more pics under the Health Products menu... I'll be updating soon, L.W.!!

Homemade Elderberry Flu Defence Syrup

During the vicious flu season, there is nothing like using Elderberry as part of your "flu repellent". :):):) Elderberry is very good as an immune support herb and specifically targets the flu virus.  You can usually buy an Elderberry supplement called Sambucol at your local grocery store, but I heard that the supplies are low right now. I also carry a great product called Elderberry D3fence through Natures Sunshine Products. (If you are interested in getting it at wholesale under me, just let me know;)) I always love making my own remedies from scratch when I can though.

Today i am making  a Homemade Elderberry Syrup.
Wishing you good health this season,
                     Priscilla Sparks, ND.

Elderberry Syrup

3/4 c dried elderberries
1 cinnamon stick
3 c. of water
3/4 c. Honey

Using a double boiler, heat to boiling water, cinnamon, and elderberries. Reduce heat and simmer till liquid is reduced to about half (about 45 minutes). Drain berries (and save for making elderberry jam or pie), and add honey to elderberry liquid. Pour in glass storage bottle and use as needed. Recommended Dosages are 1/2-1 tsp. Per day for children, and 3/4-1 T. Per day For adults.

Let's remember that God is the author of good health, and pray for His protection, trusting in His care. Though the news may sound scary let's not be driven by fear, as those who have no hope. :) Take a few minutes to memorize and lay to heart this week's memory verse. God Bless!!!

The finished product!!!
Yummy too!

Homestyle Decorating with Priscilla

It's pretty neat to see how you can take an old piece of
Furniture and create an authentic looking masterpiece!
Of course, just like Creation, it doesn't just happen. But
With a little work and God-given inspiration and creativity
The results can really be quite exciting! This week I worked on re-painting my bedroom furniture- all of different colors since they were bought at yard sales, etc.. to look like a matching country bedroom suite! And I love the rustic, weathered barn-wood look I was able to come up with!

First I applied a light base coat of Flat Amazon jungle green paint for the under color. Then when that was dry I dry brushed the Flat white over top! Yes, it's that easy! A great way to freshen up that old piece of furniture you've had for years :)

How to paint your own rustic furniture:

1st i started with my base coat using a flat paint sheen. For these projects it was an Amazon green color... Then I let it dry... Now we're ready for the fun part!!! :):):)

What a fun way to add a warm homey touch to your room!

The finished products now in place and I couldn't be any more satisfied with the outcome!! Thank you Jesus, for creating us to be creators and shine forth the glory of You!!

Before...

After...

Wow!!!

As you can see, white is the more dominating color... The Amazon green totally didn't match the pesto green room by itself, being too dark, but this way it blends in perfectly!

So much nicer!!!

Now it's your turn!!!
